Authorized AlumaLux Dealer • Sacramento & Bay Area

It Is 104° at Two O'Clock. You Touch Your Phone.
The Roof Closes and the Whole Patio Goes Into Shade.

Four hours later the sun drops behind the fence, you touch it again, and the roof opens to the evening sky. Rain on a Saturday in April? Close it and stay outside. That is the AlumaLux 180: a motorized louvered roof that rotates a full 180 degrees, built from marine-grade aluminum and stainless steel, with every moving part hidden inside the frame. We are the authorized dealer and the licensed crew that installs it, so you deal with one company from the first measurement to the last inspection.

Why Louvered

A Fixed Patio Cover Makes You Choose Once. A Louvered Roof Lets You Choose Every Day.

Solid covers are dark all year. Lattice covers do nothing in August and nothing in the rain. Homeowners in Granite Bay, Danville, and El Dorado Hills bring us in for the AlumaLux 180 because it is the one structure that does all of it.

Sun when you want it

Open the louvers fully and the roof disappears. Morning coffee under open sky, a winter afternoon with real warmth on the patio. Tilt them to track the sun and the shade moves with it.

A real roof when you need one

Closed, the blades interlock and the 7.25 inch gutters carry the rain to the downspouts. The table stays dry, the cushions stay dry, and you stay outside.

Run it from your phone

The Somfy motor pairs with the Bond app and your smart home. Set it to close at two o'clock every July afternoon and open at six. A manual crank version is available if you prefer no electrical.

Built to be forgotten about

6061 aluminum blades, a T316 marine-grade stainless hex drive, brass gears, self-lubricating bearings, all sealed inside the frame. Nothing exposed to corrode, nothing to oil, nothing to paint.

Looks like it belongs on your house

Fifteen plus powder coat colors, wood grain finishes, and anodized options. 4x4 posts, 7x7 extruded aluminum, or decorative Tuscan columns. Six frame configurations, including cantilevered and stepped for the lots that are not a simple rectangle.

Lights, heat, fans, screens, planned in

Integrated LED, infrared heaters, ceiling fans, misting, audio and video, zipper screens, projector shade. We wire the frame for what you want the space to do, so it is done once and done right.

Why Clear View

The Dealer and the Installer Are the Same Licensed Company. That Is the Part That Matters.

A louvered roof is a precision system. The drive has to be dead level, the posts have to be set for the exact span, and the electrical has to be protected and permitted. When the dealer sells it and a sub installs it, the warranty conversation gets complicated fast.

We are the authorized AlumaLux dealer for the Sacramento region and the Bay Area, and we hold the California General Building and Glazing license (#1092253) to build it ourselves. We measure it, order it, pull the permit with the manufacturer engineering attached, set the footings, run the power, install the system, and register your lifetime warranty in your name. One crew, one contract, one number.

Questions

What Homeowners Ask Before They Buy a Louvered Roof

What is a louvered pergola, and how is it different from a regular patio cover?

A louvered pergola has a roof made of aluminum blades that rotate. Open them and you have a pergola with full sun and sky. Close them and you have a solid roof that sheds rain into built-in gutters. Tilt them anywhere in between for filtered shade that follows the sun. A standard patio cover is fixed: it is either always open lattice or always solid. The AlumaLux 180 rotates a full 180 degrees, so you get every version of the backyard from one structure.

Is it really watertight when closed?

Yes. The louvers interlock when closed and the frame carries 7.25 inch gutters on all sides, so rain runs to the downspouts instead of onto the table. You can be outside during a spring shower with the roof closed and stay dry. Open it back up when the sun comes out.

Motorized or manual?

Both are available. Most of our clients choose the Somfy motor with the Bond app, which puts the roof on your phone and works with the rest of a smart home. A manual crank option is available if you want no electrical at all. The motorized version needs a protected power run, which we include in the plan and the permit.

What about the wind, the heat, and the years?

The louvers are 6061 aluminum, the drive is T316 marine-grade stainless steel with brass gears, and every moving part sits inside the frame instead of clipped to the outside. That is why AlumaLux puts a lifetime warranty on the aluminum structure and the stainless drive. The powder coat is rated for a 20 year service life. Motors carry 5 to 7 years. We register the warranty in your name at install.

How big can it go, and will it work on my house?

Header beams run up to 34 feet long, and the system comes in six frame configurations: attached, freestanding, cantilevered, stepped, raking, and combinations for L-shaped patios. Posts come as 4x4, 7x7 extruded aluminum, or decorative Tuscan columns. We measure your space at the free on-site visit and show you exactly which configuration fits.

Can I add lights, heat, fans, or screens?

Yes, and it is far better to plan them in now than to retrofit. The system is designed for integrated LED lighting, infrared heaters, ceiling fans, misting, outdoor audio and video, zipper screens for bugs and privacy, and a roll-up projector shade. Tell us what you want the space to do and we design the wiring and the frame around it.

What does it cost?

A louvered roof is a premium system and it costs more than a fixed cover. We do not quote it from a brochure because size, configuration, motor, finish, and accessories move the number a lot. What we do is come out for free, measure, walk through the options, and hand you a written, itemized estimate. That number is locked. No deposit is required to get it.

Do you handle the permit and my HOA?

Yes. As the authorized dealer we file the manufacturer engineering with your permit, which keeps it out of the slow review queue, and we prepare the drawings your HOA or architectural committee asks for. Permits, engineering, and inspections are included in our price.

You Have Read This Far. That Means the Patio Is Already Decided.
The Only Open Question Is the Number.

Book the free on-site visit. We measure, we show you the system, and we hand you a written, price-locked estimate. No deposit to get it, and nothing to decide until you have it in your hand.
